The Idea of ModMinds
Practical. AI. Built For You.
Being a creator is a full-time grind, and you should not be slowed down by clunky software. At ModMinds, we believe you deserve tools that work as hard as you do. That’s why everything we build is smart, perfectly reliable, and heavily focused on what real creators actually need. We handle the heavy lifting behind the scenes so you can focus on entertaining your chat.
It Started With One Friend Asking
StreamBuddy wasn't planned in a boardroom. It started as a hobby. Jim, known to most of the streaming world as Onfire53, liked to tinker with chatbots. He built one to see if he could. Then he built another for a friend, and another for family. Each one was a little different, shaped around the person it was made for. Chatbots led to AI companions, and every new build taught him something the last one hadn't. Making them for other people kept pushing Jim further. Each one was a new person with a new personality to get right. What began as a hobby was steadily broadening his horizons, and he kept wondering what else these things could do. Then a friend and fellow streamer, Zbourne, said something that changed everything: he would love a custom bot of his own for his stream. It was a simple request, but Jim couldn't let it go. He wasn't picturing a generic bot that posts the same canned lines in every channel. He was picturing one built for a single streamer, with its own voice and its own personality. So Jim got to work. The bot he set out to build for one friend's stream became the thing we now call StreamBuddy. StreamBuddy didn't show up overnight, though it almost felt like it did. Every bot and every companion Jim had made for someone else had been practice for this. When the right idea finally came along, the groundwork was already there. Along the way, the two of them realised the idea was bigger than one channel. If Zbourne wanted a co-host that was truly his own, other streamers would too. On May 21, 2026, Jim and Zbourne made it official and founded ModMinds, with one goal: build apps with AI at their core, made for streamers worldwide. They didn't do it alone. Early in the process, ModMinds partnered with DenCrofty LLC, and today ModMinds is proudly part of the DenCrofty family as its child company. StreamBuddy is where that began. It's still built the way the very first bots were: for the person using it. Every stream deserves a buddy. This is ours, and now it's yours. |
